Don't feel like homeschooling is for you? Hey, you know what's right for your family...but put your skepticism aside and hang with me for a minute. Let's chat.

When we clearly define what a quality education for human children encompasses, our understanding of what "school" is actually for begins to shift.

Suddenly, the hours between 7am and 3pm seem like only part of the equation.

In this episode, I explore the concept of school from my background as a Montessori guide, public school teacher, and parent.

Homeschooling Magic Is For Everyone

Last week we spoke a lot about the magic of homeschooling. This week, we’re talking about WHY and HOW that magic can be applicable to you, even if you’re not homeschooling full time! Let’s face it: though growing in popularity, homeschoolers are still pretty rare.

Also: schools can be amazing! But we know education is bigger than just school. This is why I can easily wager: there’s a good chance you ARE a homeschooler already, and you didn’t even know it.

Maybe you deeply believe that a teacher must teach your child, and you choose to pay tuition for a private Montessori school. Maybe you need to work full-time, and staying home is not an option for you. Whatever the scenario, I’m here to tell you: that’s absolutely wonderful! I so support you in whatever is the right fit for your family!

I just also want you to know--there is so much more to school than what happens while your child is at school.

Gratitude

Today I am feeling grateful for the journey I have had discovering the truth of school and education and homeschooling for myself and my family. I’m also grateful for the discussions I have had with other educators and homeschooling parents that challenged me, or raised my awareness, or helped me grow! I am grateful to know that my children are out there learning with every person that impacts their lives.
