You'll have a suggested weekly rhythm for exploring the theme, so you don't have to figure out what to do next.
It's a plan, not a rigid schedule. Use it in the way that makes sense for your family.
Fully Scripted Montessori Lessons
You don't need Montessori training or a teaching degree.
Our lessons walk you through what you'll need and what to do, step by step, so you can spend less time wondering how to teach and more time actually learning together.
Printable Lesson Materials
The printables you'll need for the month's lessons are included right inside your Theme Pack.
Most Theme Packs take about 30 to 40 minutes total to print, cut, and prepare for the entire month.

Official Montessori materials are never required for our Theme Packs.
Most of what you'll use consists of common household items or inexpensive supplies, and you'll receive a materials list so you can see what you'll need before you begin.
Because bringing Montessori home shouldn't require recreating an entire school.

Yes. We designed Theme of the Month for families, not for a single age group. It’ll work for your family whether you have toddlers, preschoolers, or elementary kids learning together.
Our Theme Packs are designed with flexibility in mind and suited for children aged 2-9.
Each lesson has a featured Montessori subject, but learning naturally crosses subject areas. And rather than expecting every child to participate in exactly the same way, you'll find adaptations that can help you meet your children where they are.

Is Theme of the Month a Complete Montessori Curriculum?
No, and this distinction matters.
Theme of the Month is designed to give your family rich, interdisciplinary Montessori learning without requiring you to begin with our complete foundational curriculum.
It's a wonderful place to start if you're curious about Child of the Redwoods, supplementing another approach, or simply want meaningful Montessori learning without having to plan it yourself.
But Theme Packs are not intended to replace a sequential foundational curriculum, particularly in areas such as reading and mathematics.
If you're looking for a complete educational path that helps you understand what your child is ready to learn and what can come next, you'll want to explore our Complete Curriculum.

New Themes are released throughout the school year from August through May, and every month has a featured Theme of the Month.
